SY ANTARA – 46 M KETCH (1991)
Tall. Tailored. Timeless.
When Antara was commissioned in 1991, her Dutch owners made an unusual request. They were exceptionally tall and wished to inhabit their yacht with generous vertical ease. In response, the main deck was constructed with greater headroom than other yachts of her series. It was an architectural decision that reshaped internal proportion. S/Y Antara became a lucid expression of a defining principle at Perini Navi: the yacht adapts to the owner.
In 2022, she entered a new chapter through a comprehensive refit at NCA Refit, aligning her technical systems and onboard experience with contemporary standards while preserving her original character.
DESIGN IDENTITY
Proportion Shaped by People
At 46 metres, Antara carries the recognisable Perini Navi ketch profile: balanced superstructure, disciplined sheerline, and a steel hull paired with an aluminium superstructure. Her distinction resides in her internal architecture.
The elevated main deck ceiling height transforms spatial perception, creating composure and vertical generosity rarely encountered in yachts of comparable vintage and size. The result is architectural harmony.
The full-beam master suite, complete with private study and his-and-hers bathroom, benefits from this enhanced proportion. One double and two twin cabins complete the layout, welcoming up to ten guests.
Interiors conceived by Perini Navi with Bernardo Chichi favour material continuity and restrained elegance.
Antara is designed and dimensioned to human scale.
