DESIGN IDENTITY

Controlled Authority

Designed by Philippe Briand, Yam 2 was conceived to deliver power and responsiveness across a wide range of conditions, with particular sensitivity in light airs and controlled authority in stronger winds. Her tapered hull is built in Sealium, a high-strength aluminium alloy that allows for an optimised lightweight structure, keeping displacement below 130 tonnes.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Innovative Highlights

Her technical configuration includes a lifting keel with bulb, variable from 5.5 to 3.5 metres, complemented by a 7-tonne water ballast system. The sail plan features a 50-metre high-modulus carbon-fibre mast, PBO standing rigging and a Park Avenue boom, supporting an upwind sail area of approximately 734 square metres. The result is a sailing yacht engineered for sportsmanlike performance while maintaining comfort, safety and the core principles of Perini Navi design philosophy.

Kindred Masterpieces

These yachts, already brought to life, form a lineage of mastery that endures upon the sea. Their presence offers quiet inspiration, guiding the imagination towards what is yet to be created.
