Form, Function, Familiarity
Delivered in 2004 as Santa Maria, and later renamed Zenji, the yacht belongs to the first generation of the Perini Navi 56-metre series, conceived to extend the shipyard’s sailing architecture into a repeatable platform while preserving individual recognisability. Within this framework, she retains the defining proportions of the class while introducing subtle variations in volume distribution.
DESIGN IDENTITY
Profile. Proportion. Purity.
While unmistakably Perini Navi in silhouette, Zenji features a distinctive break in the bow sheer line designed to accommodate larger tenders, setting her apart from her sisterships. The exterior composition preserves the characteristic equilibrium between hull continuity and superstructure mass, a central theme of the yard’s large ketch design language of the period.
Originally conceived with American cherry interiors, the spatial organisation follows a coherent chromatic logic and a restrained nautical vocabulary rather than decorative layering.
