S/Y FAST CRUISING SLOOP 47m
Project Description
The Italian Sea Group reveals the restyling of the new Perini Navi 47 m sloop.
The project is focused on creating an aluminium-hulled sloop able to combine high performances with uncompromised comfort, liveability and safety, typical hallmarks of the Perini Navi brand. The project main features are:
The 47 m aluminium hull features an extended waterline of more than 43 meters and a straight, deep V-shaped bow.
The hull geometry allows for reduced heeling angles when sailing and with a maximum beam of 10,5 meter it provides larger volumes: with a gross tonnage of around 390 GRT, this sloop largely exceeds the average volume of the majority of the market sailing yachts of the same segment.
Due to the wide stern, the yacht is fitted with twin rudders, synchronised through the fly-by-wire system, that allow for greater manoeuvrability, both when sailing or when acceding shallow docks.
The variable draft keel has been completely re-engineered in order to optimise the hull efficiency and seaworthiness. The fixed part of the keel – the keel box – has been reduced, freeing up the centreboard dimension that now allows for a maximum draft of 11 meters when the keel is down. The minimum draft when the keel is up, though, is only 3,9 meters, allowing for easy access to shallow waters and harbours.
The carbon fibre mast with a size of 62,6 meters features an upwind sail set (main sail+jib) of 1.275 square meters. Carbon fibre as well for the rigging and stays.
The new sail handling system includes a self-tacking headsail with transversal track, removable staysail and a winding A3/Code 0 on torsional cable.
N.2 reel captive winches below deck control the halyard and the sheet of the main sail. Portside below deck a third winch controls the staysail sheet.
This new rigging and sail handling design allows for a high-speed sailing manoeuvre in total safety.
Main engine and thruster
The mid-ship engine room features a CAT engine with 533 kW/h @ 2100 rpm and two main generators of 86 kW/h each. The peak speed at maximum continuous rating is about 13 knots, when the cruise speed is in the order of 10 knots with a range of 3.500 miles.
The retractable bow and stern thrusters allow for easy mooring and simple docking operation.
Tender
The 6.5 m tender is fully recessed at the bow section where it is also located the dedicate recessed crane for its handling.
Flying bridge
The double side wheelhouse is located on the newly designed flying bridge that features a larger area.
Guest areas
The wide guest areas are designed to provide entertaining opportunities both al fresco or at the interior.
On the main deck the aft cockpit and the main saloon are connected through a 2m wide sliding door.
The stylish interiors are an extremely sophisticated and contemporary re-interpretation of the classical marine style.
Guests: 8 to 10
The lower deck hosts 4 double cabins and a convertible owner’s studio with ensuite bathroom.
At bow, the crew area with 4 double cabins each with ensuite bathroom, dinette, wide galley and laundry area.
